Satish S. Kumar, DMD, MDSc, MS
Biography:
Dr. Satish Kumar currently serves as a tenured Professor and Director (Chair) of Periodontics at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH), A. T. Still University (ATSU) in Mesa, Arizona. As a full-time faculty member, Dr. Kumar spends most of his time providing surgical care at ASDOH. When he is not treating patients, he is supervising students, lecturing, pursuing research, overseeing clinical operations and administration. Dr. Kumar is a board-certified specialist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, the American Board of Oral Medicine, and the American Board of Orofacial Pain.
Antonia Teruel, DMD, MS, PhD
Biography:
Dr. Teruel is passionate about helping her patients and takes great pride in being able to help patients with chronic orofacial pain, temporomandibular joint disorders, neuropathic pain and neuralgias, sleep apnea, among others. Dr. Teruel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain. Dr. Teruel has vast experience in patient care and teaching since 2008 and has taught in major universities. Dr. Teruel maintains a full-time private practice at the Head Pain Institute, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Teruel is a member of American Academy of Orofacial Pain. Dr. Teruel is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Biography:
Nancy Miller owns ultraconcepts specializing in power instrumentation instruction, is a Key Opinion Leader and product evaluator for Hu-Friedy Group since 1995, a clinical advisor for Jameson Group since 1998, and is a panelist on the Cellerant Group for Best of Class Hygiene Awards debuting in 2021.

She is the co-creator of the AzDHA Leadership Development Workshop, which mentors students and emerging professionals across Arizona. In recognition of her impact, she was honored with the 2022 ADHA Future Esther Wilkins Leadership Award and was selected as a 2021 ADHA Ted Style Talk speaker. She currently serves as an Education Advisor for CDOCS, contributing as one of the few hygienists in a national network of educators with experience managing Spear doctors and their teams to aid in educational goals and office production utilizing Spear Online resources. Her recent contributions include publishing an article on psychological safety in “Spear Digest” and serving as a guest panelist at Spear Education’s Practice Growth Forum. Jeanette is also deeply involved in community outreach. She has volunteered extensively at public health events, including the Arizona Mission of Mercy, Oral Cancer Walk, MS Walk, and school-based oral health programs, including being featured on a local news station to educate the public on HPV and oral cancer. Her work reflects a strong commitment to patient education, public health, and professional mentorship.
